The study focuses on assessing the Romanian version of the Internet Entrepreneurial Self-Efficacy Scale (IESES), a tool designed to measure self-efficacy in online entrepreneurial activities. This scales validation and the evaluation of its psychometric properties were conducted with a sample of engineering students. The aim was to determine how effective this tool is in accurately gauging the confidence of individuals in their ability to succeed in internet-based entrepreneurial ventures.
The IESES is tailored to assess various aspects of entrepreneurial self-efficacy, specifically within the context of the internet, which is increasingly relevant in todays digital economy. The studys rigorous approach involved translating and adapting the scale to ensure cultural and contextual relevance for Romanian users, enhancing its reliability and validity.
Results from the study indicate that the Romanian version of the IESES is a reliable and valid measure for assessing online entrepreneurial self-efficacy among engineering students. This scale can provide valuable insights for educators and policymakers aiming to foster entrepreneurial skills in academic settings, particularly in engineering disciplines where innovation and entrepreneurship are increasingly emphasized.
Overall, the successful validation of the IESES in Romania opens avenues for further research and application in other non-English speaking contexts. It highlights the importance of culturally adapted tools in accurately measuring psychological constructs related to entrepreneurship in the digital age.
